Monday, Feb 2: Kickoff events in San Jose

Fans can attend the official opening-night event at the San Jose Convention Center (6–10pm). It’s billed as the public kickoff to Super Bowl week—players/coaches make their only public appearance before game day. Registration is through the NFL’s OnePass app, and entry is first-come/first-served.

Tuesday–Saturday, Feb 3–7: The big SF fan fest week

Hosted at Moscone Center, this is the big interactive event: games + exhibits + photo ops (including the Lombardi Trophy) and more. Hours are Tue–Fri 3–10pm and Sat 10am–10pm. Kids 12 & under are free (no ticket needed for them).


An all-ages “Best of the Bay” style fan fest at Yerba Buena Gardens (and YBCA Forum) running Tue Feb 3 through Sat Feb 7. Think music, interactive activities, local vendors, and a festival vibe right in the city.

Thursday–Saturday, Feb 5–7: Free downtown pop-ups

A free, high-energy fan experience happening right beside the SkyStar Wheel. Before the big game kicks off, bring your friends, family, and fellow fans to enjoy two days of free movement, play, amazing kids zone and entertainment on the waterfront.

A super easy stop if you want something low-effort and kid-friendly: a kids zone, tabletop games/crafts, and oversized games like giant Jenga and cornhole-style activities. Union Square.


A nightly projection show celebrating Super Bowl history on the Ferry Building. The official host committee notes it runs Thu–Sat (Feb 5–7), and the marketplace listing shares viewing details and timing.


This free, block-party-style celebration takes over San Pedro Square community fun all weekend long. Saturday, Feb 7: Mountain View Fan Fest + Tailgate Party

The City of Mountain View is hosting a community tailgate on Sat, Feb 7 (2–5pm) in Downtown Mountain View with music, games, giveaways, and nearby business specials— sounds very family-friendly and an easy daytime plan.

Sunday, Feb 8: Game day plans + watch parties that work with kids

A pre-game activity that’s perfect for younger kids: Join the excitement of the big game as the Hiller Aviation Museum explores the combination of football and flight in a family-friendly extravaganza!Sun, Feb 8 (10am–12pm). It’s included with museum admission (members free).

Outdoor plaza screening + live DJ. RSVP recommended; blankets / small lawn chairs allowed.

Parent tips (so it’s actually fun)

  • Plan for road closures + transit detours around downtown SF during Super Bowl week, especially near the Moscone/Yerba Buena area.

  • If your family uses drones: there are temporary drone restrictions around the stadium and parts of SF during the event period.

  • For the big fan-fest days, arrive right at opening if you want shorter lines (especially with toddlers).
