Bay Area Holiday Ice Rinks 2025: Where to Ice Skate This Winter

If you're not sure where to go holiday ice skating in the Bay Area with kids this season, I've got you covered with this list!
You're probably wondering if little kids can enjoy ice skating.
My answer to that is.. it depends on the kid. Many of these ice rinks have the skating buddies to help new skaters and young kids have more support. These usually cost extra. Double check with the ice rink before you go, to ensure they carry small sized skates. Also look our for ice rinks with special family friendly programs and sessions for kids 5 and under (like Walnut Creek on Ice)

San Francisco:
Union Square Ice Rink
When: Open Nov. 5, 2025 – Jan. 19, 2026
Where: Union Square, 333 Post Street, San Francisco
How much: Tickets are $22 to $25 for adults and ages 9+, and $17 to $19 for children 8 and under, (includes skate rental)
Yerba Buena Indoor Ice Rink
When: Open year round
Where: 750 Folsom Street, San Francisco
How much: Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for kids 5yo and under. Skate rentals additional $6 (included in kids admission).
North Bay Area:
Iceless Skating at Bay Area Discovery Museum, Sausalito
This is a temporary exhibit at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. It's especially great for toddlers!
When: Opens November 8, 2025 - February 8th, 2026

Merry Meritage Holiday Ice Rink and Winter Village, Napa
When: Nov 25, 2025 to Jan 4, 2026
Where: 875 Bordeaux Way, Napa

Snoopy's Home Ice, Santa Rosa
This is a temporary exhibit at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. It's especially great for toddlers!
When: Open year round

How much: $14 for adults, $12 for kids age 11 and under. Skate rental $4.
Special toddler-friendly sessions for tots 18 months to 4years old (and their parent/caregiver) on Wednesdays.
LUMA Ice in Petaluma
The City of Petaluma is thrilled to host the 2nd Annual LUMA Ice, Petaluma’s newest holiday tradition! This real ice skating rink at the Petaluma Fairgrounds bringing the magic of a winter wonderland to the heart of our community.
When: Dece 10, 2025 to Jan 6, 2026
Where: Located parallel to E. Washington Street in the Fairgrounds main parking lot

This will be the first ever real outdoor ice skating rink at the Petaluma Fairgrounds and the only real ice outdoor rink in Sonoma County!
East Bay Area:
Kristi Yamaguchi Holiday Ice Rink

Walnut Creek on Ice
