Glowfari at Oakland Zoo

Glowfari is back for its seventh year, with hundreds of all-new animal lanterns lighting up the Oakland Zoo. This year's themes include California forests, the San Francisco Bay, Montana, the Florida Everglades and Hawaii. The Gondola runs (lit up for the season) to more lanterns on California Trail, the Rides Area is open 5–9 PM, and there's hot chocolate and a special Glowfari dinner menu. This week: Wed Nov 11 – Sun Nov 15 (closed Mon Nov 9 & Tue Nov 10). Santa visits the Rides Area Fri–Sun, 6–9 PM. Good to know: - Timed tickets required for everyone, including members (members get 10% off). Tickets go on sale at 9 AM exactly 28 days before each date, and they're non-refundable and non-transferable. - Entry times are 4:30–6:30 PM; entrances close at 7:30 PM and everyone exits by 9 PM. - Parking is included. - It's an outdoor winter event, so dress warmly; umbrellas are allowed. - The live animals are indoors and not visible during Glowfari. - The lights may be an issue for guests with light sensitivity or seizure risk.
