Fun on the Farm Activities are free crafts and activities that highlight farm life and the late Victorian era. These Saturday events are an opportunity to step back into history and enjoy the simple things of life. SEP 5 – Bubble Fun Enjoy an activity that has been a favorite of children for hundreds of years as you blow bubbles then make some giant bubbles and watch them float away on the breeze. SEP 12 – Working with Wool Learn about the Forest Home Farms sheep, clean and card some of their wool and then use it to make your very own sheep to take home. SEP 19 – Food Preservation Canning was an important part of life on a farm. Come learn about the process of canning and taste a few jams that Ruth Boone made and sold at Forest Home Farm. SEP 26 –Abundant Apples* It is apple season! Come taste a variety of apples grown organically and learn about some long-forgotten apple recipes!
